Singapore F1 GP

wow! what a feast of sight and sound!

The beauty of the machines ... the roar of the engines ... the smell of burning rubber ... it triggers a sense of awe for these beasts that can hit up to 300kmh!

I was there on Sat with my son :-D

It was just before 7pm that we found our seats at turn 1 ... watching the cars come out of the pit and then when they come around again less than 2 minutes later to hear them scream past turn 1,2 & 3. Funny tho' the excitement was not as exhilirating as I thought it would be. It was really loud ... that after a few minutes ... I said to my son, "We'll need the F1 survival kit!" ... got them for $2 and was back at the seats a few minutes later.

We watched as the cars came back again and again negotiating the turns.

However, when the real action began at 10pm - Qualification .. the drivers were a totally different person! I cud just feel the energy and electricity in the air! The drivers were pushing the vehicle harder and negotiating the turns faster.

And when Massa pipped Hamilton for the pole ... the crowd roared!

What a night. :)

I recall a lunch we had a Molly Malone's at Boat Quay :D

Upon arriving we (all guys btw) noticed a waitress with huge knockers! When I say huge ... I mean HUGE! In all my life ... I've never seen a local with double Ds ;-)

We looked at the menu and decided to make the orders ... however, the service was bad ... one of us decided to go to the waitress to inform her that we are ready to order ...

Upon returning he said "She's comming soon!" ... all of us broke out laughing! He's such a stud!
Then after that ... in selecting the orders ... is it going to be a-la-carte or sets? One the guys asked to get the number of orders ... "Who want s@x?" We ALL raised our hands ;-)

As this was a "Leaving do" for one of the guys ... Andre got up to take some photos. We did a group shot ... but he was not in the picture ... then the DoubleD entered the room ... so he asked for some help from her ...

things got really complicated here ... she was busy and said that she'll return ... it was a long time when she finally did ... thinking we wanted to make the orders ... then I said, "No, not orders, we wanted to take a photo with you! ... err I mean you to take a photo of us!"

Well ... needless to say ... that was the last we saw of her that afternoon. :(
