It's been awhile ...

Wow! This is really taking a toll on me. Just 3 blogs and I'm done!

Too much effort to maintain.

n e ways ... had a few bad news that happened over the last 2 weeks. A friend had a passing in the family. My own kids has issues with their school mates ... the younger got into a struggle with his mate and scratched him ... deep :(

his friend's mum called my wifey and whoa! the complains start to rain. The wife had to grit her teeth ... swallow pride and apologised profusely. bummer.

then today ... some1 called the elder brother a b*tch! he got mad and twisted the s*cker's arm. But he turned and kicked him in the b*lls :(

double trouble.

Hey! What's going on here!!!??? why are all these happening? That too ... it wasn't the end.

... in the office ... a contactor working for me expressed that he was put here against his wishes. MAN!! What an attitued??!!! He's just been here since Monday.

He said that ... and I quote:
When I joined, they promised me a field job, not one that sits in a customer's office! This isn't what I bargained for. If I wanted to, I would not have come in to your office on Tues!

Heck if I cared! I wouldn't give a damm about what you were promised! If you were promised something and you didn't like it ... go sort it out with your company. Don't take it out on me and my team! heh heh ... that's what I thot ... good thing I didn't blurt it out loud. ;-)

But hold on ... if he is pissed off with me ... who knows what sabotage he has in mind. Turn off the switches in the server room? Run a script ... with a timebomb to go off on Halloween? Gee ... So I let it go ... turned on my bestest charm and gave him my best pep-talk.

Let's go for a win-win-win situation here, I said ... The guy u came to replace is leaving on Fri (2days away) ... so if you keep it with your attitude like this, you'll leave here with a bad taste in my mouth. Then I'll be dead-pissed with you and your company for screwing me.

I added ... and for me too. I'm screwed. I have one less person in the team and the rest have to double up on their bit.

Well ... I think I got to him there. But in the background ... working with the account manager ... we got a replacement. :) And he'll join tomorrow :) :)

At the end of the day ... it was "Hasta-la-vista, senor!"

Hope that's the last I see of him.

it is past 8 now ... I'm dead tired and hungry. So gonna go for my dinner and then head home to a nice bath and bed.

Wow! What a day!

You know ... I was helping out with the kids music team on Sunday ... and had to carry the drums from the store to the stage ... as as fate woul have it .... I must have twisted my back! Ouch!

So the rest of Sunday was spent in bed ... and worse still I was taking the week from work .... and it had to begin this way. Double ouch!

Ok ... as if things can't get any worse ... I decided to tell the wifey that it was becos I walked down the staris and suddenly felt the back twitch ... BAD IDEA!

Well ... yesterday we decided to go to East Coast for a bike ride .. it was fun ... in fact ... after riding for 1/2 an hour ... it feels like my back's had a miraculous recovery!

Well 1/2 way true the ride ... the wife had a chat with my boy who said that "Dad got his back hurt while carrying the drums!" oh oh! Here it is ... back to haunt me. Triple Ouch!

At the end of the 2hrs ride ... it felt stiff again :( must hv overdone it. We decided to visit the Sinseh and had him twist me about and you know ... it felt much better after that. :)

All right dinner was simple and we all went to bed and had sweet dreams!

Today ... sleep, sleep, sleep.

Woke up ... lunch ...then .... now this. :) Tried to get some work done ... but had some problems ... so ... guess I'll just blog.

Aah! After 1 1/2wks ... the IMF is finally over. Hopefully things turn out normal from tomorrow :) Then again ... the coupe d'etat in Bangkok ... I wish my buddies Khun K and Khun Phee a safe day!

was looking for a hotspot ... met a friend ... had a coffee and chat. Ok it was Starbucks ... but it had my "blond american" and she tasted great! ;-) btw ... will talk about my "blond american" another day.

boot up my iBook G4 only to find the signals kinda weak :(

headed to McD's got some fries and drinks and it seems that it took agest to get to this page :(

n e ways ... Barnyard!

It had a great story line that I think the kids will learn a lot from ... it is about responsibility. :)
When I aske my 8yr old what he learnt ... he said :
A great man stands for himself, a greater man stands for others.

Well based on that ... I'll say take yr kids along!

Wrt the animation ... I had thot that Pixar does them better. But in this case .. the 3D effects was an absolute gem! Hurrah to SUN for that.

well walking down 10 stories is definately no fun! especially when it is 9am and you've not got yr caffeine shot yet.

n e ways ... after all the reporting done and all "staff" accounted for ... it's off to SF Coffee ;-) If u think starbucks is good ... think again!

Back to the office and it's back to the grind. Looking forward to the end of day and and taking the kids out to watch Barnyard. :) Well I'm not much into animated movies and such ... but SUN had offerred me tickets to this one. :) I'm sure the kids'll love it!

Looks like they used Solaris x86 to run this baby ... quote "Sun Fire x64 enterprise servers powered by AMD Opteron processors" from what I hear ... the producers managed to complete this movie months ahead of schedule :)
