Of public transport & the olympics ;-)

We all have to take the public transport sometime. But some more than others!

For me since moving to this place opposite United Sq, I've been taking the bus more than the mrt. :-) Leave the house @ 8.20 n I'm in the office before 9am! err .... 8.45 to be exact .... and 23secs ;-)

This morning (Fri) however, almost made me change my mind! It was all becos I left home a little later. Ok! I'm just lazy!!!

N e ways, nuff with that. I went to the bus stop and saw a bus 166 pass by. I said it's ok. Got other buses. So it happened ... the next bus came & went, the next and the next :-( they were ALL full! I cudn't get on!!!

SBS free ride on buses day? Gee! How come nobody tell me one ah?

I finally got up a bus .... and it was almost 9! Got in much later than normal :-( guess that spoilt my day. I wowed to almost never to take the bus again!

Almost never was just as long as that evening .... I walked to the busstop and took one home :-D

Upon arriving home I realized that our dear women paddlers has done us proud! Ousting the Koreans in 5 matches. Not an easy feat .... especially after li jia wei's loss in the 2nd match :-(

She was our hope to take us to a 2-0 lead, but, that was not to be. She, however, redeemed herself in the following doubles to win 3-0 :-) congrats.

The heroine of course, was feng tian wei. She stood her ground after losing a game at 2-1. It was a close fight, but tian wei prevailed!

I'm my opinion, jia wei's good, but I think she' too aggressive and tries to go for a win with every chance. Thus causing her many unforced errors. I seriously thot that she has a one-dimentional game :( ie smash at every chance u get)

I would believe that tian wei's technique will take her far. Playing a safe game of defensive then striking when the opportunity arises. She'll probably do better when she matures in her game. :-)

I'm not sure if we can overcome the Chinese on Sunday, but my heart will b with them!

After 48yrs, we finally gurantee an olympic medal. A silver at least, but that thought shud no go in our paddlers' heads, cos surely, that will mean we'd have lost to china b4 the match even started!

Good luck ladies!
